Based in Liège (Belgium) and part of ArvinMeritor Group (25.000 employees worldwide), Trucktechnic is a major remanufacturer and distributor of a complete line of braking systems components for commercial vehicles.   The Trucktechnic brand expanded ArvinMeritor’s European Aftermarket operation in terms of product offering, geographical footprint and remanufacturing capability and capacity. Products offered under the Trucktechnic brand include brake kits and components, in addition to a significant portfolio of remanufactured, all-makes brake calipers, valves and compressors.To strengthen his operations in Herstal, TruckTechnic is looking for a :



As a Manufacturing Engineer, you report to the Plant Manager and you are responsible for the following areas:

design, implementation, monitoring, improvement and maintenance of the remanufacturing processes in order to achieve the most efficient and cost effective way of producing high quality products;
troubleshooting of quality and technical operational issues;
development and implementation of operations improvement project (costs reduction, efficiency, quality and safety increase…);
involvement in every stage of product development, from research, design and development, to production and post-sales warranty analyses;
purchase, installation and maintenance of buildings and equipments;
expertise development in a wide range of manufacturing technologies, computer and management control systems;
being a contact person for customers and suppliers, and process documentation.


You possess an engineering degree or chartered status in production, manufacturing or (electro-)mechanical engineering;
You demonstrate 3 to 5 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience in a production environment with a proven experience in manufacturing line start-up and improvement projects. An experience in production systems, lean manufacturing, kaizen, 5S is a strong advantage;
You show outstanding verbal and written communication skills in French as well as in English;
You are a true team player, leader, well-organized, analytical and able to manage projects;
You show interest in resolving health and safety issues in manufacturing environment;
You are familiar with personal computer software skills : Microsoft Suite and CAD (as a plus).
